Finding the perfect card shouldn’t feel like a chore.
You know that moment when you’re standing in the card aisle, reading through every single option, and everything is either way too sappy, aggressively sentimental, or just plain boring? Yeah, same.
That’s exactly why I started Card Construction. I wanted witty, clever, and actually funny stationery and gifts—stuff that sounds like me (and probably like you, too). Since the store-bought options weren’t cutting it, I figured, why not make my own?
What started as a creative outlet (aka my version of self-care) turned into a one-stop shop for people who want gifts that get them. Whether it’s a greeting card that says exactly what you’re thinking or an accessory that makes your personality shine, everything here is made to bring a little joy, wit, and just the right amount of sass into your life.

I’m Linnea,
The creative force behind Card Construction Inc.
It all started in 2013 in Prince Rupert, BC, when my sister, Justina, and I hustled our handmade cards to family, friends, and anyone willing to support a couple of crafty kids—while using our parents’ basement as headquarters.
Life eventually took us in different directions—My sister pursued design and apparel, while I headed to Prince George, BC, to chase my academic ambitions. But even in a cramped dorm room, I kept Card Construction going, proving passion doesn’t need much space—just a little paper and persistence!
In 2017, I packed up my paper stash and moved to Red Deer, AB, where I’ve been creating more than just a business—my husband and I have also grown our little family! We welcomed our sweet daughter, Maeve, and our corgi-in-charge, Moxie.
Since then, Card Construction has transformed from a hobby into something I’m truly proud of
My creations are now finding their way into retail spaces both locally and beyond!
Balancing my right-brain creativity with my left-brain logistics is a bit like crafting the perfect card—finding just the right mix of structure and imagination. Between running Card Construction and my full-time career in mental health and addiction, I get to blend my passions in the most rewarding way.
While Justina may have branched out, she still pops in from time to time—lending her skills as a branding specialist, graphic designer, and product photographer. So even though she’s no longer folding cards with me, she’s still helping shape the bigger picture!
